Pull an old tank top on over your new dress

Here are a few easy things you can do to give yourself homemade support while keeping your shoulders bare.

Wear the tank top under your shirt and head to the mall. Get ready to try on some strapless bras. Each time you try on a bra, put the tank top on over it. Look carefully in the mirrors. Place the socket part of a small metal snap against each mark and sew it in place, using strong nylon thread and tiny, tight stitches.

Place the dress face down on this flat surface and line up the back of the dress with the back of the bra. Make corresponding chalk marks on the inner portion of the back edge of the dress, matching them up to the metal snaps you just sewed on.

Sew on the stud part of each metal snap to the corresponding chalk marks, with nylon thread. Make tiny, tight stitches. Knot and cut away the excess thread.
